Using “Verbal Judo” (1-Hr) – Bronze

This one-hour class is about using “Verbal Judo” to defuse confrontational situations and gain voluntary compliance through effective communication strategies. It is best defined as “a gentle yet powerful way of persuasion.” As a professional private security officer, you have undoubtedly been in situations where emotions were running high and the potential of violence was present. The goal of this class is to help you influence others to come around to your way of thinking without having to resort to violence. While there will not be any “hands-on” training in this class, we have a 90-minute video in our Resources that shows Verbal Judo in action. Knowing how to defuse a tense situation by using Verbal Judo just might save your life some day!
