Dealing with ADA and EEO Challenges (2-Hrs)

This two-hour class is designed to help security officers and management navigate the legal minefield that is today’s workplace when they interact with others, including hiring, firing or disciplining employees. The class discusses the relevant federal laws and regulations that deal with discrimination, harassment, and retaliation in the workplace that security personnel may face due to disability, race, sex, age, and other immutable characteristics. There are also several documents in the Resources section of the class to help guards and management avoid adverse legal consequences in their interactions with other employees, clients’ employees and other individuals that they may come in contact with during their workday. A ten question “final exam” follows the class to see how well you have understood the material presented in this class.
